Terms of Service
The rules for using MediShifaβs website and mobile apps for consultations, pharmacy, lab tests, and related healthcare services.
Not for emergencies
MediShifa is not an emergency service. For life-threatening symptoms, call local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
Accurate information
Patients and doctors must provide truthful profile, medical, and registration details. False information may lead to booking or account suspension.
Bookings & payments
Consultation, pharmacy, and lab fees become payable when you confirm checkout. Once booked or confirmed, refunds follow our Refund Policy and are generally not available.
Pharmacy & labs
Medicines may need a valid prescription. Lab tests are fulfilled by partner hospitals. Stock, delivery, collection, and report timelines depend on those partners.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using MediShifa (website, patient app, or doctor app), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these Terms; the latest version will always be available in the app and on the website.
2. What MediShifa provides
MediShifa is a technology platform that helps users:
- Discover and book video or voice consultations with doctors.
- Manage appointments, follow-ups, prescriptions, and medical reports.
- Order medicines and healthcare products from partner pharmacies (cart, checkout, delivery tracking).
- Book hospital diagnostic / lab tests and view booking status and reports where available.
- For doctors: manage schedule, patients, earnings, and onboarding documents.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration details and keep them updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your login methods (password, OTP, Google sign-in) and for activity under your account.
Patients should complete onboarding profile fields needed for safe care. Doctors must complete professional onboarding and verification before offering paid consultations where required.
4. Medical disclaimer
Consultations on MediShifa support remote clinical advice and do not replace in-person examination, diagnostics, or emergency care when those are clinically required.
Doctors exercise independent professional judgment. MediShifa does not practice medicine and is not liable for clinical decisions made by licensed practitioners, except to the extent required by applicable law.
5. Appointments, fees, and cancellations
When you select a slot and complete payment (or confirm a paid hold), the appointment is considered booked.
Once an appointment is booked, consultation fees are non-refundable except in the limited cases described in the Refund Policy (primarily verified doctor no-show).
Rescheduling, if offered in the product, may be requested subject to timing rules and doctor approval. Rescheduling is not a refund.
6. Pharmacy and medicine orders
MediShifa lists medicines and healthcare products sold or fulfilled by partner pharmacies. Prices, stock, substitutions, and delivery zones are controlled by those partners and may change until payment is confirmed.
- Prescription-only items require a valid prescription (uploaded or issued via MediShifa). Partner pharmacists may verify, reject, or request clarification before dispensing.
- You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address and reachable phone number. Failed delivery due to wrong details may not entitle you to a free re-shipment.
- Orders may be cancelled, split, or adjusted if verification fails, an item is out of stock, regulatory checks fail, or delivery cannot be completed safely.
- Once an order is confirmed and payment is successful, refunds follow the Refund Policy (generally non-refundable after confirmation except where legally required or the partner cannot fulfil).
- MediShifa is a technology facilitator; the dispensing pharmacy remains responsible for product quality, labelling, and pharmacy regulations applicable to them.
7. Hospital and lab test bookings
Diagnostic test bookings are offered through partner hospitals or labs shown in the app or website. Test menus, preparation instructions, home collection availability, and report turnaround times are set by those partners.
- A test booking is confirmed when payment succeeds and MediShifa shows a confirmed booking status.
- You (or your family member) must arrive or be available for sample collection as scheduled. Missing a slot after booking does not automatically create a refund.
- Reports may be shared digitally in MediShifa when the partner uploads them; delays or report content are controlled by the hospital/lab.
- If a partner cannot perform a confirmed test for operational reasons, MediShifa will help coordinate a reschedule or refund as described in the Refund Policy.
- Clinical interpretation of lab results should be discussed with a qualified doctor; MediShifa does not replace medical advice.
8. Doctor obligations
Doctors agree to maintain valid registration, truthful specialization and fee information, professional conduct during consultations, timely attendance for booked slots, and lawful handling of patient data visible in the doctor app.
Payouts depend on completed eligible consultations, platform fees, and verification of payout details.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse MediShifa, including by harassing users, uploading unlawful content, attempting unauthorized access, scraping the service, or using the platform for non-clinical spam or fraud.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm patients, doctors, partners, or the platform.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MediShifa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, third-party partner failures (including pharmacy stock, delivery delays, or lab report delays), network issues during a call, or clinical outcomes.
Our total liability for a claim relating to a paid transaction is limited to the amount you paid to MediShifa for that specific transaction, except where law requires otherwise.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through Help & Support in the app or the Contact page on medishifa.com.
